Kashmir
Kashmir is a region in the northernmost part of the Indian subcontinent. The Kashmir region is located in the Himalayan mountain range and includes the Indian-administered territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the Pakistani-administered territories of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, and the Chinese-administered territory of Aksai Chin.
The region has a diverse range of landscapes, from the snow-capped mountains of the Himalayas to the lush green valleys and lakes. Kashmir is also home to some of the world’s most beautiful mosques and shrines, as well as many Hindu and Buddhist temples.
There are many ways to tour Kashmir, depending on your interests. You could go on a trekking or mountaineering expedition in the Himalayas, visit the world-famous Mughal gardens, go on a safari in the wildlife sanctuaries, or take a cruise on the Dal Lake.
If you’re interested in history and culture, you could visit the ancient city of Srinagar, explore the medieval forts and palaces, or take a heritage walk through the old city. You could also visit the world-famous Kashmiri carpets and handicraft.
